The Western New York Prevention Resource Center (PRC)
The Western New York Prevention Resource Center (PRC) is one of six regional centers throughout New York State. The PRC collaborates with community stakeholders in the development of new coalitions and supports established community coalitions as they work to reduce the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. This will be accomplished by providing both technical assistance and training to coalition partners, while supporting partnerships between prevention providers, schools, and community groups.
Community coalitions include dedicated individuals within their communities who come to the table to work together to address identified problems. The service area for the WNY PRC includes Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming Counties.
